I can't even stand how happy I am you're here
I'm not special. I know that sounds negative and like I have low self esteem but that is not at all what I am saying. Here me out. I grew up in a household of 6 children. I was the dancer of the family. I performed in ballet productions and competed to my hearts content. As much as I loved dancing and I was part of amazing studio's there was something wrong. I had to look at myself in the mirror every day. You see, I am not like the other dancers, I am a girl with some meat on her bones and some, lets say, squishy parts. Those same insecurities I had as a child, I still hang on to as an adult.
I read something YEARS ago that said don't compare you weakness's with others strength. That hit me like a ton of bricks. I realized that's exactly what we do. And on top of that when we look at our friends, influencers, podcasters, strangers, professionals etc. we see their strengths. We naturally compare ourselves to them only seeing our weaknesses and their strengths. HOLY CRAP! How unfair is that. This is why I am not special. We all do it, EVERY SINGLE women that I have ever met does this.
So fast forward years later, I decided I wanted to a boudoir shoot for a present for my husband for his birthday. Throughout the process became more and more comfortable with myself. By the time I left I didn't feel like I had to hold in my belly, or make sure to hold my arms away from my body. I left that shoot and looked at myself in my car mirror with a new light about me. I finally saw what others see in me. Weeks later I got my printed pictures and they were amazing!
I held on to that image of myself, especially after seeing the pictures. Those pictures may never be on a wall in our house for all to see, but they are in my closet for me. Every day I get to see those images of myself and remember who I am. I'm not perfect but God made me beautiful. This is so much more than being sexy or beautiful, this is how you see yourself. After my experience I knew what I wanted to do with my photography, I could make a difference in women's lives. I want you to feel as I do, I want you to see yourself the way we do. You're beautiful, talented, amazing, worthy, smart, and all the things you ever wanted. Lets start looking at ourselves differently.
Come have a shoot with me, I want to get to know you and make you feel like a superstar that you are.
